Job Duties: This position reports to the Lieutenant.
Perform work as a Control Officer as part of the regular duties of the position.
Perform Lieutenant duties as needed in the absence of the Lieutenant.
Handle emergencies in the absence of the Lieutenant.
Assist with conducting Guard Mount duties.
Review Incident Reports to ensure they are complete and accurate. Complete incident reports through the electronic (e-mail) Operations log.
Administer and perform maintenance on the AED (Defibrillator) as directed in the General Order.
Provide Pass-on information including anticipated arrival of contractors and specials visitors to appropriate personnel. Ensure all Security Officers review Pass-on information.
Arrange to fill Open Posts due to call-offs, scheduled absences, etc.
Complete weapons check daily at the beginning and end of each shift.
Perform Post checks/inspections in accordance with Post Duties.
Ensure radio checks are performed in accordance with Post Duties.
Ensure On-the-Job (OJT) training for new offices is performed according to procedures.
Ensure weapons, equipment, and key inventory are accomplished at each shift change.
Ensure safety procedures are followed in the clearing and loading of weapons.
Receive all Post equipment at the end of each tour of duty.
Ensure procedures are followed for maintaining keys.
Review Daily Operations Log.
Ensure each Patrol Officer completes their required patrols.
Ensure all Security Officers complete the paperwork related to their Posts to include the 139.
Ensure all Security Officers attendance is documented by utilizing the site specific access control systems.
Other duties as assigned.
U.S. Citizenship (Birth or Naturalized) or a lawful permanent resident and current or honorably discharged member of the U.S. Armed Services/Military;
Minimum 21 years of age;
Minimum two (2) years service in the U.S. Armed Services, any combination of two (2) years experience in physical security and service with the U.S. Armed Service (one (1) year must be armed), Associates Degree in Security or Law Enforcement related field and one (1) year armed experience, or successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy and one (1) year armed experience;
Must have supervisory experience;
Knowledge of the General Orders, Special Orders, Do Not Admits and VIPS;
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
Excellent written, verbal communication, and reporting writing skills;
Training skills to develop personnel, understand and perpetuate succession planning (Mentoring) and demonstrate leadership;
Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in personnel and communicate corrective solutions;
Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times and command presence to convey authority in security situations;
Must have a positive attitude toward work and workers, lead by example and show enthusiasm and energy;
Ability to read, speak and understand English language fluently;
Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately;
Ability to manage multiple Security Officers on various posts with 24/7 coverage;
Must be available for contact 24/7;
Computer proficient to include in Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel) and E-mail;
Must be able to pass contract required training and obtain all required certifications;
Must be in good standing with the company with excellent record of performance and attendance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Armed DCJS License;
Must be able to pass all required training to include weapons, CPR, First Aid, and AED;
Successfully pass background checks to include criminal, credit, and/or driving record checks;
Must meet client suitability.
